Brain scan results

From Analisa on 10/5/2016

After racing minds and nervous tummies trying to stay positive we are happy to report that JD’s brain scan is clean. There is always the chance that a brain met could pop up eventually but so far so good!! So we will take it and be happy and enjoy every day!! Next up…body scan end of the month and next brain scan won’t be until February!! I can’t speak highly enough about Dr. Reece and his team. He truly is an amazing, kind doctor and I love how much info he gives us!! Thank you all for your love and support!! #jdwalkstrong #cancersucks JDWalkStrong J.D. From JD on 10/5/2016

After some great news from my radiologist (no remaining cancer on my brain!) I decided to go celebrate at my favorite bar… The barbell that is for the slow ones. I hit the chest hard to try and scare the rest of the remaining cancer in my lungs away! Not sure if it’s working but I could barely squeeze my hands together to wash them after my workout was compete. #walkstrongwednesday #jdwalkstrong #cancersucks #punishcancer #chestday #lifeisgood.

Bone Infusion

Treatment for the cancer in his ribs.

He makes the best faces!! It’s weird to experience feelings where you are grateful for the treatment he receives but how awful it is that we have to be here. As they were giving us a tour of the infusion place I kept holding back tears thinking how did we get here? Praying we have a miracle!! #zometa #bonestrengthner #cancersucks #faithoverfear #jdwalkstrong J.D. Walk

Walko Taco Feed Fundraiser

Here is the link for the fundraiser dinner on October 21, 2016 @ 6pm.  The event is being held at Meridian Habitat Park in Puyallup.

With all the medicines, doctors visits, tests, scans and numerous other expenses, the bills are piling up. He is also is missing more and more time from work due to being so sick. While there are moments of relief, and days that seem normal, the situation is not “going away” at this time. We would like to raise enough money to help cover some expenses, perhaps even provide a little extra to help during this terrible illness. Let’s show his girls just how much love and support a community can bring a person.

Radiation Scan

July 28, 2016
” Just left dr office…Shocked with amazing news…39 brain mets reduced down to 2 Mets and even those 2 have reduced and are pin point size!! Dr Reece was very happy and thinks there will be nothing to worry about with those possible 2 remaining. The rest of his grey/white brain matter looks good also. We may do a brain scan again in October if dr Baik from SCCA is ok with it!! And if needed later we can pin point (beta gamma knife ) the 2 spots later if they grow at all!!’ Yay!!!! Thanks for all the amazing prayers and good vibes and support!! We love you all!  ~J.D. Walk
